Residents joined our councillors and staff in the rain this morning to clear up the woodland know locally as ‘Chesilton Woods’ just off of Chesilton Crescent / Portland Drive in Church Crookham. As work to remove invasive species in this area took place, a lot of rubbish was thrown up from the ground and needed removing.
A big thank you to all who came out in the wet weather this morning and helped out. We collected a huge amount of rubbish again, with the majority of items being plastic or glass.
Our councillors have also been busy clearing up the area around the Crookham war memorial and it now looks amazing again.
Our next community action event will be over the Easter holiday on Crookham Park, with tea and cakes served at the community centre afterwards. Watch this space for further details.
